WEDDING
Hayes — Leathem
A wedding of much local interest took place at the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, February 13th, Father T. Brosnan officiating.

The contracting parties were Marion Jean, second eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Leathem, of East Molong, to James Henry, second youngest son of the late Mr. W. and Mrs. Hayes of Molong.

The bride entered the church on the arm of her father attired in a figured Mongolia satin gown with finger tipped tulle veil, carrying a bouquet of white gladioli, tuber roses and white carnations.

She was attended by Miss Thelma Neylon, cousin of the bride-groom, attired in blue embroidered net over taffeta with head dress of blue tulle and flowers and carried a bouquet of pink gladioli, carnations and tuber roses.

The duties of the best man were carried out by Mr. Jack McArdle, nephew of the bridegroom.  The reception was held at the residence of Mrs. C. W. Dunn where ab-out fifty guests assembled.

The usual toasts were proposed and duly honoured. The happy couple received a number of cheques and handsome presents.

After a short honeymoon the young couple have taken up their residence in Molong.
