WEDDING
Hayes — Leathem
A wedding of
much local interest took place at the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, February
13th, Father T. Brosnan officiating.
The contracting parties were Marion Jean, second
eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Leathem, of East Molong, to James Henry, second youngest son of the
late Mr. W. and Mrs. Hayes of
Molong.
The bride
entered the church on the arm of her father attired in a figured Mongolia satin
gown with finger tipped tulle veil, carrying a bouquet of white gladioli, tuber
roses and white carnations.
She was attended by Miss Thelma Neylon, cousin of
the bride-groom, attired in blue embroidered net over taffeta with head dress
of blue tulle and flowers and carried a bouquet of pink gladioli, carnations
and tuber roses.
The duties of the best man were carried out by Mr. Jack
McArdle, nephew of the bridegroom. The reception was held at the residence
of Mrs. C. W. Dunn where ab-out fifty guests assembled.
The usual toasts were
proposed and duly honoured. The happy couple received a number of cheques and
handsome presents.
After a short honeymoon the young couple have taken up their
residence in Molong.
